The strong growth that Shuttel experienced from 2017 onwards, both on the customer and supplier side, translated into an explosively increasing amount of internal and external data. Data from 25+ sources was consolidated and analysed in Excel. This process was very time-consuming, costly, and complex. The realisation grew that they wanted to extract more value from the growing volume of data, to make decisions based on factual data, and to better support customers with the implementation and enforcement of their mobility policies using the insights gained from this data
To work in a more data-driven manner, Shuttel launched the Discovery project and selected Full Orbit as its partner due to our comprehensive solution in both technology and services. This approach relieved Shuttel of all concerns. We opted to implement an open-source-based data platform, combined with innovative technologies and complemented by Tableau on the front-end. The data platform was delivered within an ambitious timeframe of six months.
